Response To: Prompt B
In the beginning of To Kill a Mockingbird, you meet the main character/protagonist Scout Finch. She's an overall curious six year old little girl who'd rather play in her overalls all day alongside her friend Dill and her big brother Jem. Or sit on her father's lap as he reads. She likes to play games and is an adventurous girl who likes to mess with her frightening neighbor, Arthur "Boo" Radley. She's far ahead in school and she also doesn't like being so feminine.
At the age of six, I was similar in many ways to Scout. I was be around mostly boys growing up and I much rather enjoyed playtime outside rather than getting dressed up. I absolutely dreaded wearing dresses! I was also far ahead in school. I was a great reader ahead of the levels my fellow classmates were at. At my young age of six, I such a curious little girl. I'd question everything I didn't know about. I'd always get quite cozy on my dad's lap as he read aloud a story. As for my summer activities, there was one peculiar neighbor I was for some reason so curious about I'd always try to get her to go outside. Perhaps it was because she always kept to herself and seemed so bitter. I'd always try to find out why, but the only way I heard of her was through stories from the older kids in the neighborhood. They said that she had no relatives closeby and she was only accompanied by her vicious dogs. It didn't look as if she had kids either. They nicknamed her "Dog Lady". There was also one fifth grade boy who said she got so angry about his football landing at her yard her yells resembled the barks of her dogs. Spying on her dark, lonely, grungy looking house was just like Scout's undying curiosity about Boo Radley. So I'd say my summer activities were very much alike. There was also similarities to the people close in Scout's life and mine. Her older brother Jem was so wise for his age and resembled many traits as his father, just like my older brother. As a wild child, he was always reminding me when things might have been a bad idea. Many of my summer days spent spying on "Dog Lady" was with him. Someone in my life who reminds me of Dill would have to be Kevin. He'd only stay with his aunt during the summer days. He'd come along to our scooter expeditions to Dog Lady's house. He grew on me and we became good friends as kids.
As you can see, my life and Scout's life isn't so different. I was one adventurous, overly curious, tomboy just like her. My summer adventures and lessons learned go along the lines of Scout's.

Chapters 12 -15
Perspective - Aunt Alexandra
I'm visiting my relatives Atticus, Jem, and Scout. Scout just met her cousin Lily Brooke. I want Scout to be more lady like. I'm convinced I can be her feminine influence since she does not have a mother. By making me the motherly figure it can count as compensation for no mother figure in neither Jem or Scout's life. I had acquired this goal some time ago. I've always reminded Scout to be more feminine but her preoccupation with games and Boo Radley seems to get in the way. I'm in no way trying to antagonize her character though. By me staying with them my influence on her seems to make my plan sound quite infallible.

Chapters 8 & 9
Perspective: Miss Maudie
I love tending to my flowers, it gives me so much joy. Today the Finch kids Scout and Jem made the funniest snowman. The odd snowman resembled Mr. Avery except with my pruning shears and hat. In the middle of the night, my house caught on fire. This probably happened because I kept a fire going for my beloved plants. I watched as my house slowing got eaten by flames. The snow made it harder for the flames to go away one hose ended up breaking! My house then collapsed and the roof put out the fire. After all the damage was done, I decided to stay with Miss Stephanie for a while. I didn't let this get to me though because a smaller house means a bigger garden. Which is exactly what I wanted. During the week the Finch's Uncle Jack comes to stay with them.

Chapters 4-7
Perspective: Jem
Dill, Scout, and I decided to make a game from Arthur "Boo" Radley. But Atticus caught us and he thinks it's better that we don't try to mess with him. When we went up to the house, Scout saw chewing gum in the Radley's tree. On our second attempt, Atticus caught us again and we got another warning from him. We kept being persistant so we sneaked into the Radley's yard once again. All of a sudden we heard a gunshot and it was from Mr. Radley's gun! While in a rush to get away, I lost my pants! That darned wire fence. In the middle of the night, I made my way back to the house to get my pants back and I found them fixed! This was eerie to me. We then found something new in the same knothole it was soap carved into little people that looked like me and Scout. Scout and I decided we wanted to thank this mystery man for the strange gifts in the tree only to find that it was cemented shut by Mr. Radley. We're so fascinated with this man that we know very little about besides the dark tales we hear about him. When we asked Mr. Radley about the knothole his reply was that the tree was about to die. That didn't see quite right to me. I asked Atticus what he thought about this and he said he must of had a real good reason to do so. I sat alone on the porch thinking and wondering. Scout came out to see me and thought I was crying. No way I was crying on that porch! I'm a sixth grade boy.

Chapters 1-3
Perspective: Dill
My name is Charles Baker Harris but I'm called Dill. I'm a little boy and for the summer I'll be staying with my aunt Rachel who happens to be neighbors to the Finchs. While staying in Maycomb county, I met the siblings named Jem and Scout. I also saw the Radley house. We heard a lot of stories about Boo Radley also known as Arthur. He is often described as a malevolent phantom, he was quite peculiar. The town doesn't really know much about this man and the stories about him got us three curious. I then dared Jem to touch the house even though I know he was scared. But he did the dare anyways. I knew that my tormenting would make him do it. After one touch of the house we heard something and then we scurried away. It was as if we could feel Boo's eyes from behind the window. Today was a pretty interesting day but I must be ready to return to Mississippi in my own county called Meridian. I hope to come back and visit Scout and her brother Jem again for more fun adventures.
